Even though today’s post is up at a later time, it is not to be missed! This weekend I hit up my first sample sale (mara hoffman), finally got my hands on a NYC bagel, went to central park, and walked from SOHO to the UES all in one day.
Saturday, 8:15 a.m.
I woke up early on Saturday morning so I could avoid the line at Black Seed Bagels and get in the line for the Mara Hoffman sale. I was pleasantly surprised when I got to BSB and there wasn’t a line in site. I ordered the B.E.C. everything bagel and it was AWESOME. One of my favorite meals in the city to date. Next I walked a couple blocks over to the Mara Hoffman sample sale. It started at 10, but I got there around 9:20. Boy, was I happy that I got there early. In a matter of 10 minutes the line swelled to over 100 people. The doors opened at 10 and I was blown away by the amount of merchandise available, and the prices. See what I got, here.
Saturday, 5 p.m.
After my trek around the city, I headed back to my dorm and scrolled through my pics. I quickly realized that I hadn’t posted anything from my trip to The Met earlier in the week! On Tuesday, most of the museums opened their doors for free so one of my coworkers and I decided to go! It was pretty crowded, but very cool. Oh, and I had my first shake shack burger afterwards and it was SO good. I completely understand the hype.
Sunday, 10 a.m.
Let me start off by saying – I hate doughnuts. I am never the one to crave them and I never order them. However, I am always willing to try new things. So I decided to go to the famed DOUGH bakery and give these doughnuts a shot. Let me tell you – they are a game changer! First off, they are huge! Secondly, their texture is dense, but fluffy, and oh-so yummy. I got the cinnamon sugar flavor, but I’ll be back to try other flavors out.
Sunday, 6 p.m.
After grocery shopping, a much needed trip to the gym, and some downtime, my friends and I decided to get some to-go food and eat in the park. We people watched, chatted, ate too much Chinese food, and walked around Central Park. It was a gorgeous evening and I loved every minute of it.
Sunday, 7:30 p.m.
I bought this hat on Saturday and I cannot stop wearing it! It’s the perfect size and shape in my humble opinion. Also, am I wearing enough black to be considered a New Yorker? Happy Monday, folks!
